The heat was brutal (upper 70s, felt like 80s with 90% humidity) so my times were all off (11 min/mi for the half, 12:20 min/mi for the full). They even shortened the full course because it got too dangerous for folks to be out that long. But, I marched one foot in front of the other, fueling every four miles of course, and kept grinding to the end. – Laura Beth

“For several years I seemed to be gaining weight. My body was hurting, and nothing I did seemed to help. Then, two years ago my stomach and ovary was hurting so bad that I couldn’t eat. An ultrasound revealed that my intestines were very swollen.
When I met with TNT, I was working at a hotel. Each Tuesday, my dietitian was meeting with a few clients, and I would try to listen to what she was talking about. For a year, I did this!! I believed she could help me, so I went over and spoke to her.
The doctor agreed to hold off on testing and meds until I tried a nutritionist. I spoke with Courtney at TNT and we set up a date to meet. Until that date, she recommended two things to start incorporating, and by the time I got to her, I had already dropped weight. However, I was still in a lot of pain.
SIX MONTHS LATER, I went from 176 to 140 pounds. I could enjoy life again. I started hiking and swimming. Just doing what I love to do. Words cannot express how grateful I am for TNT.
