Tis’ the season for fitness! With all of the craziness of the holidays quickly approaching, we can’t forget to stay active and have a little fun while burning some calories. Novant Health Charlotte Marathon.
If the full 26.2 isn’t for you, they also have a half, a 5K and a kids’ 1-mile fun run. Even if you’re not running, you can get out to cheer others on and get some fresh air.
Kids can learn the basics of the high-tech treasure hunt called geocaching with tips, tools, and by using a GPS unit and smartphone app at Latta Plantation Nature Preserve. Enjoy an adventure while getting some exercise.

Free Fitness Saturdays
Get your heart pumping with fun, high-energy exercise classes for every fitness level at Northlake Mall. Join them on the first Saturday of every month at 10:00 am on the upper level near Entry 4 for a FREE workout. All workouts are led by local fitness instructors from the YMCA.

Charlotte Run For Warriors
Both civilians and military members are welcome to run in this 5k and one-mile run starting at Independence Park. The race honors the men and women wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. All wounded service members and Gold Star Families race free. Discounts for students, veterans and those on active duty. All proceeds benefit the non-profit Hope For The Warriors.

Free Fitness Bootcamp @ STAX
Charlotte’s biggest & best bootcamp happens ever Monday and Wednesday, 6:30pm at STAX. Well over 100 people run, jump, sweat and strain together. The best part is, it’s FREE so bring a friend or 10 and come support.
Yoga On Tap @ The Old Mecklenburg Brewery
Yoga On Tap is a weekly community yoga class in Charlotte, NC every Tuesday night from 6:30-7:30pm at The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery. Each week there’s a different teacher leading the class from a variety of Charlotte yoga studios, offering a different style of yoga.
