7th Annual FreeMoreWest 5K on the Greenway

Enjoy a nice Spring evening of running, eating and drinking in one of Charlotte’s hottest up and coming neighborhoods! After the race indulge in some beer and enjoy the beautiful skyline view. This event will benefit Right Moves For Youth, one of Charlotte’s great nonprofits that provides resources and guidance to help students graduate high school with a plan for their future success.

Tuck Fest

Tuck Fest consists of multi-day fitness events that celebrates the outdoor lifestyle through competitions, exhibitions, demos, and live music at the U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC), located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The festival features a variety of outdoor competitions that include trail running, kayaking, biking, climbing, stand-up paddleboarding, obstacle, and adventure racing. In six years, Tuck Fest has grown from 14,000 attendees in 2013 to over 55,000 attendees in 2018. The name “Tuck Fest” comes from the Tuckaseegee Ford and Trail, a historical landmark located at the USNWC.

Ballantyne Yoga Series

Wind down your week with an outdoor yoga class at the Ballantyne Yoga Series led by Sara’s YMCA instructors. Stick around after the class to enjoy homemade popsicles from King of Pops. This event is free and open to the community, so bring a yoga mat and invite your friends!

Break A Sweat – Free Bootcamp @ STAX

Charlotte’s Biggest & Best Bootcamp happens every Tuesday and Thursday at STAX, led by instructors Randy Moss of the NFL and Emily “Breeze” Ross-Watson of Moga Charlotte. Well over 100 people run, jump, sweat and strain together. The best part is, its free! So bring a friend or 10 and come support.

River Jam Run: Race Edition

Thursday night means it’s time to hit the trails. Take your weekday run off-road in this weekday trail race on the second Thursday of every month from May until September. Each race in the series will feature a 5K(ish) and 10K(ish) distance. Following the race, hang out and enjoy live music at the River Jam concert series. Awards will be given to the winners of each race as well as the winners of the series overall. To be considered for the series title, participants must race a minimum of three races of the same distance.

Yoga On Tap

Yoga On Tap is a weekly community yoga class in Charlotte, NC at The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery. Each week there’s a different teacher leading the class from a variety of Charlotte yoga studios, offering a different style of yoga. There are teachers from out-of-state as well, bringing a new yoga flare from different parts of the country. Bring your mat and plan to hang out afterwards in the brewery. The yoga class is year-round and is held indoors in the winter.
