Let’s face it, we live in a world now that we have to have our phone with us at all times or we feel lost and disconnected. Why not take advantage of it! We asked everyone at TNT what apps they love and we have come up with a list of our favorite fitness apps to help us all live a little healthier.

  1. Charity Miles

Move with purpose! Walk, run or bike to give back to so many great organizations like Wounded Warrior Project, Special Olympics, Girls on the Run, Autism Speaks, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Alzheimer’s Association, to name a few (they have partnered with over 40)! Charity Miles measures your distance when you walk, run or bike and then donates the milage money you’ve acquired. You can earn up to 10 cents a mile biking and up to 25 cents a mile running or walking.

  1. Sworkit

Tell Sworkit the type of workout that you’re looking for (strength, cardio, yoga or stretching), the time amount of time you want to workout (anywhere from five minutes to an hour) and the app creates a workout session just for you (and even does it with you). There is a free option and a premium option of $4.99 a month.

  1. Spotify Running

Most of us have the Spotify app on our phones already, but we bet you didn’t know that Spotify Running it apart of the app. This feature measures your pace and picks a song with the beats per minute to match it.

  1. Fooducate

Grocery shopping with health in mind isn’t always easy but his app make grocery shopping surprisingly fun! Open the app, scan barcodes and it comes up with quick read on how healthy each item is.

  1. Pinterest

For all you “Pinteresters” out there, Pinterest is a great tool to stay healthy and motivated. From finding the newest recipes to shake things up, looking up fun free activities for your family to stay active and discovering fun workouts!  

  1. MyFitnessPal

Keeping track of what you eat not only makes you more aware of what you’re eating, but it also has been proven to nearly double weight loss efforts. MyFitnessPal allows you to track what you eat you count calories easily.

  1. Fext

Fext allows you to text what you have eaten to the app and it tracks what you have eaten as well as how many calories, carbs, fat and protein were in each meal. You can try Fext free for a week and then it is only $6.99 a month afterwards.
